Diving at the Bishop's Hat at the Alderman Islands, I was quite startled to come across a green turtle grazing in the algae around 12m! Don't think he'd ever seen a diver, especially one on a rebreather - he musn't of known that no bubbles means he should hang around! Pretty rare sighting for NZ especially underwater, the water was 16deg, so a bit cold for him too, perhaps feeding on the spring plankton as there were lots jellyfish, salps, siphonophores in the water.
