Tonga 2009
We travelled to Tonga to co-inside with both Nikkis birthday and the Humpback season having seen pictures for many years of these magnificent whales. We booked with DiveFishSnow and arranged an extended itinerary to include Tongatapu, Vava'U and Ha'Apai.
We dived and whale watched with Dolphin Pacific Diving in Vava'U run by Al and the great team of Kelda, Pete and Claudia. Vava'U has some very interesting sites; many of which were peppered with large caves and tunnels. On one dive we saw whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays and
a large turtle! Our whalewatching was great, we only swam on one
day but there are no guarantees in this business!
