The Riwaka Resurgance is the source of the Riwaka river near Motueka in New Zealand's South Island.
Beyond the resurgance, a series of caves and passages penetrate deep into the Takaka hill.
There are a number of flooded sumps that are diveable with the right experience and equipment.
The water is constantly <10deg however the visability is crystal.
WARNING. This is an overhead environment with cold water and upwelling water. Do not dive here unless properly trained, with the correct equipment and either local advice or a knowledgable guide.
