Cage Diving

Well we made in back in one piece!

I had two dives outwith the cage, managing to get some really wonderful pictures, some examples of which I've posted on the right. We had around 6 makos on the day and 3 bronze whaler sharks. Mostly there was a solo mako but sometimes 2-3 would come at the same time and it made me a little uncomfortable being in on my own! Nikki stayed within the cage the whole time and was glad to be behind bars! Although she enjoyed teasing the sharks with the bait rope on the surface. Don't know who'd win in a tug of war though!!!

I had a session in the cage at the end where we let the sharks munch the bait, which turned into a bit of a frenzy and a cage jolting session!

Highly recommended and its gets cheaper each trip. There have been some sightings of great whites (white pointers) so I'll definitely be heading to Gizzy over winter for some more pictures. Hopefully see some blues next time too!
